    Vontaze Burfict

If you dont know who he is, learn quickly.
Burfict is a sophmore LB for Arizona State, and one of the best LBs in the country.
He is not well known on the national scale yet, but he has built upon an incredible frosh season and is now playing as well as any LB in the country.

On the opposing views, its obvious his maturity is not there yet. He still commits a lot of stupid, uncalled for unsportsmanlike penalties and such. He is still a young guy, and growing. And he has been excessive for his penalties, thats worth mentioning. A bunch of stupid ,uncalled for (and some have said dirty) penalties that really hurt his team.

But he is a stud. If he can learn to keep his emotions in check, he might be the best defensive player in CFB next year.

on a side note, although Bama lost today, one positive was Julio Jones DOMINATING Patrick Peterson, the best defensive (and maybe best overall) player in the country.

Some more great players you may not know just yet:
Prince Amukamara, CB-Nebraska (most have prob. heard of him, but he is a beast. 2nd best CB, and really close to PP.
other great corners; Ras-I Dowling (UVA), Janoris Jenkins (UF, who shut down AJ Green for a good part of the WLOCP), Brandon Harris (Miami)
Ed Wesley, RB-TCU (most will know him after today, the dominating performance TCU put on Utah)
    DeMarcus Love, OT-Arkansas
Luke Stocker, TE-UT (most on here know him, but nationally he gets no pub. But he is 2nd best TE in the nation IMO)

anyone got any more players that are great but need to get more publicity?

Dan Persa the qb from Northwestern. He doesn't look like much, he's not a great pro-prospect, but he can play college ball at a very high level.

Adrian Clayborn from Iowa isn't really overlooked but I don't think many people, especially people around here, understand how good that cat is.

    Re: Vontaze Burfict

dude, Clayborne is a freak. A guy that big should not be able to run that fast, its nuts. He will be a top 10 pick depending on the order, but he is an NFL starter right now.

Jared Crick at Nebraska, the DT is a monster too.

    a couple more:
    DeAndre Brown, WR- Southern Miss
    Johnathan Baldwin, WR-Pitt
    Da'Quan Bowers, DE-Clemson
the Ark WR's-Childs (who is hurt and out for season) and Joe Adams
and everybody knows Kellen Moore, but Austin Pettis and Titus Young, the WRs can ball.

Childs is another freak. Dude looks like a giant TE who can burn down the field. I like DeAndre Brown. Didn't he get hurt early in the year?

yeah, but nothing career-threatening i believe.

the Navy QB, Ricky Dobbs, deserves some mention, as does Nebraska RB Roy Helu.

I was watching the game he got hurt in and thought he was toast.

Homer call - Denarius Moore That kid can make an NFL roster and he's been great the last couple weeks. He's had a solid year with terrible qb's and a 75% freshman line.

Art Evans. Opposing QBs look over his way and think "MONEY". Oh wait, you said over looked players.

    Re: Vontaze Burfict

UT has a very, very talented set of WRs', no disputing that at all. Jones, Moore, Rogers, and Hunter (who has been super-awesome for a frosh), plus Stocker, Poole, and Neal, UT has some talent, its just stuck behind mediocre QB play and terrible OL play.

    couple more;
    Jimmy Smith, CB-Colorado
    Greg Jones, LB-Michigan State

    Re: Vontaze Burfict

Memphis is awful but Bray was great tonight. I was totally against him playing alot but changed my mind after watching him last week. He had over 300 yards and 5 td's in the first half alone. I thought he was going to be good, now I'm really excited.

Another one, Jeff Maehl the WR from Oregon. He's Wes Welker lite and always open.
